I wanted to take a moment to congratulate аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø Zambia on the occasion of Celebrating 20 years of Financial Markets Development. This is a significant milestone that deserves recognition and appreciation.
Over the last two decades, аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø Zambia's dedication and contributions to financial markets have played a crucial role in shaping the Industry. The expertise, insights, and commitment of its members have undoubtedly made an impact on the growth and development of financial markets in the country and in the continent.
аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø Zambia and its members’ accomplishments are proof of hard work, perseverance, and innovation. As we commemorate this remarkable journey, it is important to reflect on the challenges overcome, the milestones achieved, and the opportunities that lie ahead.
Your ongoing efforts on promoting the enhancement of knowledge and competence of all market participants are demonstrated by the number of аÄÃÅÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÙÍø exams that are taken in Zambia every year. We will keep supporting those efforts by improving the quality of those examinations so that they keep being updated and, thus, fit for purpose.
Additionally, on the topic of good market practices for financial markets, we would like to continue our joint projects on promoting adherence of your market participants to the FX Global Code, as it reflects the industry guidelines for the highest ethical and professional standards of conduct in our industry. Given that, as you know, our education team spends a significant amount of time in developing our educational tools (such as the ELAC Portal) as they surely help all staff members to learn and comprehend those good market practices so that they can demonstrate them in their daily roles.
I want to express my appreciation for your outstanding contributions and for being an inspiration. Your dedication, professionalism, and passion are truly commendable.
